Downloadable Audio, Video and Music Service!
Downloadable audio books, eBooks and music are now available from the CLAMS Digital Download site. Brooks Free Library and other CLAMS member libraries currently participate in this exciting new service that allows you to download audio, music and video to your computer or personal player. The libraries have partnered with a company called OverDrive to provide patrons with easy-to-use downloadable books, music and eBooks. The service is free and is available 24/7. Anyone with a valid library card from a participating library in CLAMS may borrow titles. A PIN is not required. Use the 13 digit barcode on your Brooks Free Library card, or a card from another participating CLAMS member library, to check-out (download) the title you want. Click here to see the newest e-audiobooks available from CLAMS member libraries, and here for e-music.
Massachusetts residents have
access to a larger selection of downloadable titles available from the Boston
Public Library. If you don’t already
have a library card from the Boston Public Library, you can sign up for a
“e-card” online by clicking
here and following the instructions. The “e-cards” are virtual library cards that allow
users immediate remote access to all of the Boston Public Library's electronic
resources, including magazine databases, downloadable audio, video and music.
If you want to check out materials at the Boston Public Library, you can visit
in person and, with proper identification, convert your e-card into a full use
library card. Once you have a card
number, you can begin searching the e-audio collection by clicking here.
