December 30th at 1:00. Gina Kluza will run a beaded jewelry making class for students in grades 3 and above. Make a wearable craft that you can take home!

LegoMania/Wii Play!

Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00, the basement of the library comes alive with Legos! We have thousands of the small plastic blocks, and we invite children to come and create with them. During the same time period, we also have a Nintendo Wii that children can take turns playing games on. The Wii, unlike many other video game consoles, encourages players to become actively involved, making the game a good source of exercise for young players. This program is open to all elementary aged students. Younger children may attend if they are accompanied by an adult.

Thursdays:

Library Cinema: G-Force

On December 31 at 10:30 the library's wall projector and movie license allow us to re-create the theater experience in the library! We will be showing the movie Inkheart. Popcorn will be provided. No registration is required. All ages are welcome.

Chess Club

The chess club is open to all ages. Come and play chess with other fans of the game! Adult supervision is provided. Every Thursday from 3:30-4:30.

Mother/Daughter Book Club

The Book Club meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:00. We read 1-2 books each month on our own, and then get together at the library to discuss the books while eating snacks. At the end of the meeting the members - both mothers and daughters - vote on what we should read next. The Book Club is intended for students in grades 5-8, but feel free to talk to Ann the Librarian if you are outside that range and would like to join. Also, if a girl would like to join but her mother is working or otherwise unable to attend, she can certainly come alone, or bring another friend or family member

Young Writer's Club

Young writers are invited to our new club the first Thursday of every month at 5:00. We will discuss writing strategies and methods of getting published.
