In order to better serve our patrons who are hard of hearing, the Brooks Free Library has purchased two Williams Sound Hearing hotspot counter loop amplifiers.
This particular device was chosen after several different devices were tested for us by a number of our patrons with hearing loss.
These personal listening devices work in conjunction with a telecoil in a hearing aid or with headphones to transmit sound directly to a person who is hard of hearing or who has difficulty hearing staff at the desk.
Look for them at our circulation and reference desks!
For more information about these personal listening devices and other Library services for people with disabilities, please ask a staff member, or visit this page.
