Welcome to the Brooks Free Library Children’s Room!
We are thrilled to offer a wide range of books, audiobooks, DVDs, board games, video games, kits, pre-loaded tablets and much more! With an enormous children’s room well stocked with a variety of toys to spark creativity and imagination, a bank of computers for homework and gaming, as well as a wide range of programming for children of all ages, we invite you to join us in celebrating the unique joys and requirements of childhood.
Summer Reading Program
Join our summer reading program at the Summer Reading website, or come into the library to sign up! Every time a child reads or is read to, for a total of 2.5 hours, they will receive a free book and a small prize! Help combat the Summer slide so that students enter school with their literacy skills intact.

Regular Programs for ages 0-10
All of our regular programs are free and do not require registration. All ages are welcome unless otherwise noted. For a full listing of our FREE programs, including special events and programs for ages 11+ visit our event calendar!
Tuesdays at 10:30 – Mother Goose on the Loose Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers can sing songs and play with musical instruments.
Wednesdays at 2:30 – On alternate Wednesdays we will have Lego Fun and Building Challenges!
Fridays at 10:30 – Story Time We will read stories and sing songs.
Fridays at 2:30 – Every Friday we will have a Craft. See our event calendar for a full listing of which crafts we’ll be doing on which days!
